Writers may submit one or more stories about the same photo or different photos. Do not include your name in the story so that our judges can judge anonymously.
The entry fee is $2.50 (two dollars and fifty cents) per story.
All entries must be in English, the original work of the person submitting the story, unpublished and not under consideration or accepted elsewhere at thet time of submission to this contest
The deadlines are on the 15th or the last day of the month.
Stories must be 750 words or less.
The story can be about the main subject of the photo or anything in the photo and can relate to the beginning, middle, or end of the story. The story can be fiction or nonfiction. You can create a story, then find a photo that relates to it OR you can pick a photo and then create a short-short story about the photo.
Twice a month, judges will choose the best story and we will post it on the website under the author's name.
The Copyright remains with the author.
Every six months (May and November) judges will select the best story submitted during the previous six months and the author will receive a $50 prize. We will only award the prize if fifteen or more entries are received for that period. However, if no prize is awarded the entries will be included in the next contest.
By submitting your story to the YourPhotoStory.com web site, you grant to YourPhotoStory.com the nonexclusive right to store and display your story indefinitely on its web site and to publish your story in all print and electronic media indefinitely.
You agree to hold "FunnyPhotosContest" and their owners, managers, employees, and affiliates harmless against any liability arising from your use of this web site, your participation in the competition, or your compliance with or bfreach of these terms. By submitting a story you agree to indemnify "FunnyPhotosContest" and its owners, managers, employees, and affiliates against all claims for copyright infringement or any other damages related to your story, including but not limited to actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, and attorneys' fees. "FunnyPhotosContest" reserves the right to terminate or modify this competition at any time.
